A much-loved neighbourhood gem, Oscar’s French Steakhouse & Bistro is proud to be celebrating a major milestone: 21 years of serving classic French food with flair in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa.
In an era where independent hospitality venues face unprecedented challenges, Oscar’s stands tall as a rare success story – not only as a family-run bistro with deep community roots, but as part of a wider legacy of excellence in British food craftsmanship. The restaurant is proudly owned by Coventry-based butchers Aubrey Allen, who were recently honoured with the Royal Warrant to His Majesty The King – a prestigious recognition of quality, service, and heritage – as well as its own 90th Birthday celebrations.
This remarkable link between Oscar’s and one of Britain’s most respected food suppliers shines through in every dish served – from the carefully selected steaks to the commitment to seasonal, ethically sourced ingredients.
To mark this special occasion, Oscar’s is hosting a 21st Birthday Celebration that promises to be a joyful nod to two decades of hard work, passion, and community support. The event will feature a celebratory menu, music, and of course, a glass or two of bubbles.
“We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone,” says Russell Allen, Managing Director of Aubrey Allen. “So many restaurants haven’t made it through the past few years, so this celebration isn’t just about us – it’s about the incredible support from our loyal guests and team who’ve been part of the Oscar’s story.”
As part of the birthday festivities, Oscar’s will run Provence Month throughout August – a nod to the home region of Maître d’ Pascal. Diners can enjoy special dishes inspired by customer favourites over the years, as well as some nostalgic nods to the bistro’s earliest menus.
