Last year he made his debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Deutsche Oper Berlin\, where he now lives. Although the three members also have careers as soloists\, playing together for nearly forty years brings another dimension to the Trio’s performances. \nThe ensemble bears the family name of the makers of both string instruments used by the Trio. Cenek Pavlík plays the famous ‘Zimbalist’ violin by Guarneri del Gesù from the precious collection of Luigi Tarisio\, while Marek Jerie plays a cello made by Andrea Guarneri in l684. \nThe Trio’s stunning interpretation of Smetana’s masterpiece on previous visits absolutely had to be included in this programme\, along with these wonderful works by Dvořák and his son-in-law\, Suk\, and will once again demonstrate the Trio’s complete immersion in the rich Czech repertoire. \nGenerously supported by Michael & Halldóra Blair \n£27 | £17\n(£1 children / students)

Martin Kasík was Director of the Chopin Festival in Mariánské Lázně\, which Iain and Teresa Smith attended in 2008 and greatly enjoyed. DESCRIPTION:October sees the return of Made in Leamington to The Pump Rooms\, Leamington Spa on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th October 2023\, 11am-5pm. \nFor the last twelve years this event has promoted local 3D artists showcasing their skills and creativity across a range of disciplines including ceramics\, glass\, textiles\, furniture and jewellery\, to name but a few. \nThis year MIL welcomes new exhibitors alongside their ‘old favourites’\, supporting recent graduates just venturing out on their journey. \nWell timed with Christmas on the horizon\, visitors will have the chance to explore the fabulous work and contemplate their purchases whilst sipping a cup of coffee in the Pump Room café. \nWith demonstrations and a chance to meet the makers\, what’s not to enjoy?
