DESCRIPTION:A one off\, spring-time stand-up comedy club brought to us by our friends at The Leamington Spa Comedy Festival \nwww.leamingtoncomedy.com \n8pm  \nAge 18+ \nWe just fancied keeping the comedy going with our friends at the Spa Centre so put together this very special line up of some of the finest stand-up comedians on the UK stand-up comedy circuit. \nTonight’s delights are Kate Martin\, Mike Cox and all held together by Dani Johns! \nDo note that line up is subject to change \n  \nDani Johns \nBorn and bred Bristolian Dani Johns is described as a “smart\, clever pocket rocket of a comedian” whose “sassy delivery captivates every audience member”.\nDani is an instantly likeable act with an impressive and increasing list of accolades (including BBC New Comedy Award\, Funny Women Stage Award & Komedia Bath Act of the Year Award).\nWith an energetic mix of storytelling and serious over sharing\, she’s been named as one of the best new comics on the scene and is taking the circuit by storm. \nEven Jason Manford said she’s great. \nMike Cox has been performing comedy since 2011 and quickly made his mark on the comedy scene with his sharp witted observational style which saw him crowned South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2014 and the Not So New Comedian of the Year in 2022. \nMike also made the final of the prestigious Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2016 and British Comedian of the Year 2023. \nHe can be seen at comedy clubs up and down the UK. \n“Like an Everyman\, if that Everyman had delicious cynicism and razor sharp wit.” – Romesh Ranganathan \n​”If Rob Beckett is the new Micky Flanagan then Cox could be the new Rob Beckett” – Bruce Dessau\, Evening Standard \nKate Martin is ‘brilliantly funny & energetic’ (Angela Barnes) and her ‘confident delivery and slick material’ (Chortle) have quickly established her as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. At 6ft 1 and with the longest wingspan in comedy (*probably)\, Kate’s a naturally engaging\, energetic performer with effortlessly tight gags to match. Her unique background in mental health has given her a fresh take on the world\, a completely distinctive voice\, and fuels her high energy storytelling\, whip-smart punchlines and razor-sharp observations of life’s quirks through queer eyes. \n‘Bulletproof’ Chortle \n‘Undeniably gifted.
