DESCRIPTION:28th June 2025 \nLocation: Pump Room Gardens\, Leamington Spa \nTime: 11:00 – 15:00 \nThe whole community is invited to join us on Saturday 28 June from 11am to 3pm with an Armed Forces Day Community Event in the Pump Room Gardens\, Royal Leamington Spa. \nCost: Free \n\nCommemorating our Allies\nCome and join us for our Armed Forces Day Community Event in Warwick District as a thank you to current and former serving members of the Armed Forces and their families. \nThis annual event\, a staple event in the District’s calendar\, builds on the success of previous years\, with recognition of the Armed Forces and the contributions that our allies have made in past conflicts\, and continue to make and strengthen. \nThe event is completely free\, with activities\, information\, performances and displays aimed at families\, individuals\, military enthusiasts and current and former serving members of the Armed Forces. \nWhat’s happening on the day\n\nVillage of stalls showcasing the military museums from Warwick\nPerformances by Ruby Ann Sings\nLocal military regiments\nMilitary vehicles\nFREE children’s activities including bouncy castle\, trampolines and assault course\nFREE hot dogs and ice-creams and a Sikh Langar – vegetarian food (while stocks last)\nTri-Service competition\nFlypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Avro Lancaster\n\nFind out more about a career in the military\nExplore what’s on offer when you choose a challenging and rewarding life in the military. \nThe armed forces includes the British Army\, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Together\, they’re responsible for the safety and security of the UK. They’re involved in combat\, peacekeeping and humanitarian aid. \nThere are hundreds of different armed forces careers. You have the chance to see the world in many jobs you can do in civilian life. For example\, a chef\, a nurse or an engineer. \nThey also have lots of roles that you’ll only find in the forces. These roles include tank crew or military intelligence specialists. \nCome along to the event on Armed Forces Day and chat with officers from different services and backgrounds to find out more about an exciting career in the military.
